In every country there are some specifics to know on this subject. In Romania the payment possibilities of your bills are:
*Directly via your bank account, this is possible and common in Romania. Either the electricity, water, electricity, heating, internet, tv cable and phone companies just get their money from your account (‘Direct Debit’) or you can pay them on your wish;
*EasyPaySystem. Wherever you see the logo or the booth, you can pay all of your utility bills. So for all your water, electricity, heating, internet, tv cable and phone bills you can just take the invoice to an Easy Pay System;
*Post offices, especially in large cities, cash money for the utility bills;
*Some of the most important gas station networks, also in large cities, cash money for the utility bills.
Utility companies send each month either a paper invoice to your home address or an electronic one on your request via email. When renting, always ask your landlord the specifics of this. Mailboxes are sometimes difficult to understand and you do not want to miss a payment.
